In July, hotel occupancy in Gironde fell by 5% compared to July 2022 (vs -5,6% in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and -5,1% in mainland France) and returned to its pre-COVID level, which was a high point in terms of tourist attendance.
Attendance by customers residing in France, which had increased by 6,8% in July 2022 compared to 2019, fell by 7,2% and almost stood at its pre-health crisis level (-0,9 % compared to July 2019). The attendance of customers from abroad is equivalent to that of July 2022 and slightly higher than that of 2019 (+2,6%).
