The label Generosity of the welcome is specific to the Gironde department. It was created to allow tourist offices to take a first step in the implementation of their quality approach.

The label Generosity of the welcome is based on the “Mystery visit” criteria of the TOURISM QUALITY Referential^TM, Tourist Office sector.

It also consists of the following appendix:

• Regulations for awarding the Generosity of Welcome label.

It is accessible to tourist offices, tourist information offices and tourist information relays (unlike the QUALITE TOURISME^TM, reserved for classified tourist offices).

When applying for the label for the first time, a tourist office and its tourist information offices will be able to obtain the label Generosity of the welcome even if the tourist office is not classified.
During the renewal, the Tourist Office must be classified (category 1 or 2).

If the Tourist Office has several tourist information offices (BIT), le label will be attributed to each BIT, which must respect and validate the same criteria, and not to the entire structure.

The label Generosity of the welcome is obtained after an audit carried out by Gironde Tourisme, including remote mystery tests and an on-site audit.

Each tourist information office receives a diploma which must be visible to the public.

The label Generosity of the welcome is awarded for a period of three years.
