In the mid-70s, the original idea of a foundation bringing together Aquitaine artists saw the light of day.
From this idea was born the Contemporary Art Museum of Soulac; between purchases and donations, our museum is, today, rich in 265 works of all trends.
From the landscapers of the 19th century (Augui, Cabié, Lépine...) to the abstract artists of the 20th (Gau, Calgani...), it is above all the great period of the Bordeaux independents which is present in our walls....
