The Gironde by TER
Thanks to TER trains, it is possible to connect several major cities in Gironde:
- Head to the Arcachon Bay using the line Bordeaux – Arcachon (50 min).
- Go up to the Médoc thanks to the line Bordeaux – Le Verdon (1h50min).
- Go to the heart of the vineyard with the line Bordeaux – Saint-Emilion (33 mins). Be careful though, the station is about 2 kilometers below the village.

The Gironde by bus
You can also travel using the network of department bus. This network has more than 70 regular lines, including 4 lines that connect the TER stations of Gironde. The single journey costs €2,30 (valid for 2 hours). You can also buy a return ticket (to be done on the same day) for €4,10. These tickets can be purchased directly on board the vehicle.
