FRAC – New Aquitaine MECA

A collection of over 1500 moving works of art in the territory of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and beyond!
Supporting contemporary creation by building up a collection of works of art to bring it to the attention of as many people as possible, such is the commitment that founded the DNA of Frac Aquitaine in 1982, renamed Frac Nouvelle-Aquitaine. MECA in 2019.
Thus combining distribution and mediation, collection and production missions as close as possible to the artists, the Frac develops an artistic program with a set of partners on the territory which takes shape through inventive actions and moments to share around the works. throughout the year: exhibitions, workshops, screenings, European Heritage Days, Night of Museums...
