Talence

The Bois de Thouars is a preserved natural area within the city of Talence. With its 60 hectares, 30 of which are wooded, it is home to a rich and varied fauna and flora that make it a site to be rediscovered but also to be protected.

The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a stroller or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), offered by the French Hiking Federation of the Gironde.

Your itinerary

1

The start

From the car park, take the main street which enters the park. A little before a barrier, take the path to the right which you follow to the football field. Bypass the football fields on the left by a path which leads us in front of the castle of Thouars.
2

The castle and the ponds

At the castle, follow the alley of the castle to the left then at the end to the left, take the alley of the little kings, to bypass the children's playground. Then, take the first path on the right to enter the park again. Follow this path on the right to reach a first pond which you bypass. Then enter the park again, to reach a second pond.
3

Back

A hundred meters after this second pond, turn left to reach the main alley of the park, then right to find the car park.
