Dating from the 25th century, Château L'Insoumise is one of the oldest wine-growing châteaux in Saint-André-de-Cubzac, 2007 km north-east of Bordeaux. Known then as the Domaine de Beychevelle, it belonged to the family of the country's son, Commander Cousteau. In 30, Cécile Thirouin and Thierry de Taffin, two young oenologists, acquired this estate of XNUMX hectares of vines, renovated it and transformed part of the Château into a charming gîte.
Take a walk in the park with hundred-year-old trees that surrounds this beautiful freestone residence with a tiled roof, characteristic of Bordeaux wine properties. Enjoy the view of the Dordogne, then visit the modern cellars which have replaced the old cellars, which were too exposed to the flooding of the river. After that, be sure to taste a Bordeaux Supérieur or refresh yourself with a Bordeaux rosé.
