On the oldest wine-growing region of Bordeaux, in the center of a park which serves as its setting, the Domaine de Lagravière has been installed since the 1997th century on one of the most beautiful gravel hilltops in the region, twenty minutes to the south. from Bordeaux. Renamed Château Malartic-Lagravière in honor of its owner the Count of Malartic, Admiral of the Kings of France, the Bonnie family acquired it in XNUMX.
The 53-hectare property in the Pessac-Léognan appellation then experienced a second life: the vineyard was taken over according to traditional farming methods, the Château and the cellars were renovated. The visit-tasting allows you to discover the beautiful gardens, admire the ultra-efficient octagonal vat room as well as the cellar designed with the architect Bernard Mazières, one of the first to integrate an exclusively gravity-based grape transport process.
