Bishop's Castle

5 minutes from the center of Lalande-de-Pomerol, stop off at the Château de l'Évêché, which opens the doors of its tasting cellar on the side of the road linking Libourne to Périgueux. The Chaumet vineyards include two family properties – the 10 hectares of Château de l'Évêché and the 10 hectares of Château Moulin de Sales – located in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation area.
After the modernization of winemaking equipment undertaken by Alain Chaumet to improve production conditions, it is Françoise Chaumet's turn to manage the estate, which has an air-conditioned cellar where aging is carried out in oak barrels. At the end of your visit to the cellars, a commented tasting of the wines of the Château de l'Évêché is offered to you.
