Chateau La Bridane

To the west of the Saint-Julien appellation, Château La Bridane is the highest point of this terroir where, facing the Gironde Estuary, it dominates several Grands Crus Classés of the Médoc. In the same family for three centuries, this 15-hectare estate is now managed by Bruno Saintout, a perfectionist winemaker who also owns two other Médoc châteaux.
At the edge of the road, two small agricultural buildings covered with Virginia creeper welcome you. You enter the tasting cellar where the manufacturing secrets of this Cru Bourgeois are revealed to you. Bruno Saintout explains the different stages of wine making so that Château La Bridane lives up to the reputation of the Cru and its prestigious neighbours. It's up to you to check that this concern for perfection is reflected in the glass you taste at the end of your visit.
