Landes and coastline of Gascony on the lookout for migratory birds

Go for an ornithological stay in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park between waterbirds and thousands of common cranes. Accompanied by Christophe Troquereau, passionate animator and naturalist, you will visit the unmissable Teich ornithological park and the Captieux moors. Among the star species you can observe: Brent Goose, Northern Pintail, Common Crane, Peregrine Falcon, Black-tailed Godwit, Cetti's Bouscaril and Yellow Bunting. Your base camp will ideally be in Captieux, at the Ferme des Filles, an organic farm occupying a traditional airial and pretty forest lodges.

Highlights of the weekend:
Day 1 | Friendly welcome at the end of the day by the girls from Ferme des Filles and Christophe Troquereau.

Day 2 | Wake up early ! Christophe takes you to the Teich Ornithological Reserve towards the shores of the Arcachon Bay where you will observe maritime species. Departure in the middle of the afternoon to return to Captieux and hide on the edge of the Camp to watch the cranes return to their roost.

Day 3 | Wake up early ! Raising the dormitory: lookout at the edge of the camp to watch the cranes leave for the fields, observation in the harvesting areas then return to the farm to explore the forests and meadows around the airial.
