Geographically located at the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, Libourne is a plural city of 25.400 inhabitants claiming multiple identities. Bastide town founded in the Middle Ages; port city since Libourne is a former maritime port and today of river and pleasure tourism via the recent development of its banks and quays; wine town with its illustrious appellations and finally town of Santa Claus or at least of his secretariat.

The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a stroller or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), offered by the French Hiking Federation of the Gironde.
