MERIGNAC

Created around 1870 by the landscape gardener Le Breton, this 17ha park is listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments. The town of Mérignac, after development work, opened it to the public in 1985. The park consists mainly of ornamental species from the United States, Europe and Asia. The park offers a varied and unusual vegetation.

The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a stroller or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), offered by the French Hiking Federation of the Gironde.

Your itinerary

1

The start

From the rue Alfred de Musset car park, go through the gate and take the alley on the right. After the bridge, continue, leaving the dirt road on your right. Also leave an alley on your left and continue to pass in front of the Château de Bourran. On the slight descent, leave a narrow alley on your right, continue to the crossroads and turn right.
2

Back

A little further you have the possibility of - following the alley on your right and following the loop (Léo Lagrange gate), passing in front of a waterfall, - either going on your left and crossing the bridge (marking GR Bordeaux Métropole), - on this driveway on your left marked GR, leave the driveway on your left and continue on this wide driveway, pass in front of a playground, - either in the curve on your left a green building, turn right to see the apiary and the vegetable garden workshop of forgotten vegetables then turn left and always continue on this path which will bring you to the car park.
