SAINT-MEDARD-EN-JALLES

Issac is one of the eight districts of the commune of Saint Médard en Jalles, the last district at the western end of the commune, on the Porge road. It is a very wooded area, with some vineyards.
Belfort Castle, owned by the municipality, hosts a municipal equestrian center managed by the UCPA.

The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a stroller or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), offered by the French Hiking Federation of the Gironde.

Your itinerary

The start

From the car park take the DFCI “Mourning” track along a fence of a property with a number of animals (goat, horses, donkeys, geese, etc.). At this intersection of forest tracks, turn left onto another forest track, the forest track curves, leave the track on your right and continue on the one on your left. Cross the Bordeaux Lacanau cycle path.

On this track you arrive at a lifting barrier, pass to the right of this barrier and turn right onto a compacted gravel track (DFCI Bellevue track). Leave the forest track on your left and continue straight ahead. At this intersection turn right onto the forest track (engraved ground). At this intersection of forest tracks continue in front of you until the cycle path which you will cross. You arrive at a crossroads of five forest tracks, take the second track on your right (grassy track) and continue straight ahead. Leave the grassy track on your right and continue the track in front of you. At this intersection turn right (dirt & grass track).
