BELLEFOND

Bellefond, whose name means Beautiful fountain, was born around the Goilane fountain. It is a picturesque walk, from limestone plateaus planted with vines to the Engranne valley. The remains of dolmens require the authorization of the owners.

Your itinerary

The start

Departure from the parking lot of the church of Bellefond, do not miss to admire the church, the ruins of the priory and the washhouse

Exit from Bellefond

After leaving the church behind you turn right at the crossroads

D140

At the crossroads on the D140 turn right then again at 50m the 1st right (Before turning right you can continue for 100m to see an old chapel just after a crossroads on the right, this one is private today)

Albacore exit

Passed the hamlet of Germon, turn left (signposting Boucle de Lugasson), then left again at the second crossing

Limestone path entrance

You cross the D140, take the limestone path opposite which borders the vineyard

Limestone path exit

You leave the path, straight on then at the crossroads turn left

To Sabatey

At the crossroads turn right and keep this road to reach Le Lieu-dit Sabatey and its dolmens

The Dolmens

At a place called Sabatey, you can stop off to see the remains before resuming your journey. Enter the path then follow it to the left between the houses to the small wood

Moulin du Battant

Crossing facing the Moulin du Battant, turn left

Ascent to Bellefond

At the intersection take the climb to the left to reach the village of Bellefond (be careful not to follow the beacon on the right which indicates another loop)
