Here is an easy and breathtaking loop that crosses the most beautiful properties of the Jurisdiction. After the iconic Cité, the small roads take you to Château Haut-Sarpe, one of the oldest wine estates, to Château Faugère where you can appreciate the modernist cellar, on the hillside, of the architect Mario Botta . Numerous possibilities for stops to appreciate the landscape of coombs and vineyard plots inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Departure from the Tourist Office
From the Tourist Office, pass in front of the Maison du Vin and the church, then turn right. The Maison du Vin welcomes you all year round and offers more than 400 Saint-Émilion wine references at the price of property.Opening hours:April, mail, June and October: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 14:00 p.m. to 18:30 p.m.July, August and September: 9:30 a.m. to 19:00 p.m. built between the 9th and 30th centuries. Located in the heart of the city, the religious building has a remarkable architecture. Built in a single block on the limestone plateau, it was created to accommodate hundreds of pilgrims to the tomb of the patron saint, the Breton monk Emilion. From the top of its 12-metre bell tower, you can climb its 30 steps and admire a 14° view of the Saint-Emilion area.

At the roundabout, continue straight on towards St-Christophe.

Chateau la Couspaude
Follow the first indications "Saint-Emilion Sud" by turning right on the D243E1. Pass in front of Ch. La Couspaude (on your left).

Torttevieille Castle
Leave "Saint-Emilion Sud" on the right and continue on the D243, keeping to the right at the crossroads. Walk along Ch. Trottevieille.

Haut-Sarpe mill and castle
At the “Haut-Sarpe” sign, turn left. Go past the mill and cross Ch. Haut-Sarpe.

Lauds Castle and Château Panet
Turn right to return to the D243, then left, at Cédez-le-Passage towards St-Christophe. Go past Ch. des Laudes and Ch. Panet. In the village, go to the roundabout.

Continue the route of the great wines of Saint-Emilion
Just before the St-Christophe roundabout, turn right towards the town hall.

Chateau Lapelletrie
Continue straight until the crossroads at Ch. Lapelletrie. Turn left towards Ch. Laroque.

Chateau Laroque
Pass in front of Ch. Laroque, then continue straight to the stop sign.

Back to Saint-Emilion
At the stop sign, turn right on the D243E2.r

In the descent, turn left towards the church of St-Hippolyte.

Turn right immediately towards Ch. de Ferrand. Continue straight until the next houses.

Pass in front of Ch. Pavie (on the right) and continue straight to La Gaffelière.

Almost at the top of rue Guadet, turn left on rue du Clocher to the Tourist Office.
