THE BARP
In the footsteps of the Haureuils district.
Well-preserved local know-how.
The district has interesting and typical heritage elements of the Haute Lande Girondine such as Landes barns, sheep pen in Barat-Neou but above all a well-marked local know-how with the Dubourg establishments, known as the Grès de Gascogne, installed in the heart of the forest for more than 150 years, near an exceptionally fine clay deposit that has existed for millions of years. They produce cobblestones and ceramic tiles but also this famous resin pot called “Hugues pot”.
And on the Chemin des Boulangers, the family bakery "Le Fouril d'Albert" bears witness to another era. Patrick Bordessoules and his sister, Corinne reopened the bakery in memory of their grandfather, keeping the old method.

The bakery "Le Fournil d'Albert"
On the Chemin des Boulangers, the family bakery "Le Fouril d'Albert" bears witness to another era. Patrick Bordessoules and his sister, Corinne reopened the bakery in memory of their grandfather, keeping the old-fashioned method with country breads; Viennese pastries, and a southwestern-style fougasse. The limited choice is assumed and a guarantee of quality. Witness to another era, the wood-fired oven dating from 1922 gives off the good smells of hot bread.
