The Spring of the Arts

Fabrice Lassort's approach questions and places the question of art photography in the normalization of current photographic language. He is a specialist in atypical processes; he manufactures his devices and his chemicals. Here, he presents the work of Ainsi Soient-Ailes carried out in the Saint Sulpice church in Paris where he practiced solargraphy, that is to say an exposure time of one year for each of the 12 photographic devices that it hung on the facade.
The photographer will lead a workshop with schoolchildren presenting the darkroom: a natural phenomenon, comparable to that of our optical system. The light is reflected by our environment which we allow to enter a dark room through a small hole. The light rays cross and are written inversely on the internal walls.
