Board a boat to reach Ile Nouvelle located in the middle of the Gironde estuary.
A nature guide awaits you there to help you discover it.
The New Island is a natural space of nearly 300 hectares, in the process of renaturation to find a strong biodiversity (fauna, flora, natural environments).
The Island is a major site for birds. Nearly 190 species were recorded in 2018.
Between nature and culture, New Island is also rich in history: until 1973, the island was inhabited, the inhabitants were nicknamed "islands" and vines were cultivated there. The old village has been restored to discover this singular history.
