On the edge of a small road in the AOC Graves vineyard in La Brède, Château Magneau is a very old property operated by the Ardurats family, direct descendants of a line of winegrowers prior to the reign of Henri IV. 20 km south of Bordeaux, discover this estate of more than 40 hectares of vines spread over the communes of La Brède – homeland of the philosopher Montesquieu who lived there all his life – and Saint-Morillon.
During your visit, the Ardurats family presents its ancestral know-how and also explains the characteristics of a farm practicing sustainable agriculture. Then enter the vast cellar of more than 1000 m² fully air-conditioned. After a visit to the barrel cellar, regularly the setting for painting exhibitions, learn the different stages of a traditional tasting of Château Magneau wines.
