20 km from Pauillac on the famous Route des Châteaux du Médoc, Château Les Tuileries is both a 20-hectare wine estate and a cooperage museum to discover with the family. In front of their large white winegrower's house with a tiled roof, Jean-Luc Dartiguenave and his wife welcome you.
In homage to their ancestors who were both cellar masters and coopers, they transformed an outbuilding on their property into a small cooperage museum. All these old tools exhibited here constitute a rare testimony to the work of the vines and wine as it was practiced 150 years ago.
Today, the Crus Artisans have become Crus Bourgeois but the passion of the winegrowers who pamper them has remained intact. This is what you see when you visit the vat room and cellars of Château Les Tuileries before tasting a few vintages aged at the estate.
