The highest point of the Haute Gironde, the hillside of Montalon offers you a magnificent panorama over the Dordogne valley. Here also passes the 45th parallel North, materialized by a stele visible on the site of the mills of Montalon (Saint-André-de-Cubzac).
From the hillside, the path through the vines joins a long alley of poplars which leads to the Château du Bouilh, in its green setting.
After crossing a landscape alternating fields of corn and vineyards, along a shady path, reach the port of Plagne, a peaceful place on the banks of the Dordogne. The return to the village will make you discover its architectural jewels, in particular the Robillard castle and its park.
