Margaux Island

Français

It is part of the intimate heritage of the people of Médoc: Ile Margaux has stretched out in the waters of the estuary since the beginning of the 18th century. Located between the green island and the coast, it takes shape in the shimmering waters. Subject to currents that constantly deform its contours and modify its topography, it owes its current position only to a valuable safeguard strategy. We therefore guess the vineyards surrounded by a walk, wanted by its owner Gérard Favarel: 365 fruit trees which reinforce the dam most naturally in the world. At the wine estate, five exceptional grape varieties benefit from a unique terroir. We will take advantage of the guided tour of the island to taste them: vines, cellars and vats will no longer hold any secrets… Or rather, the island wines produced here will only have more flavor!
