Pine forest in Pian-Médoc

How pleasant it is to walk the paths of the loop of the pines pianaise: the sun which filters between the foliage, the song of the birds which scatter, the soft torpor of the walk.
If the maritime pines are part of the landscape of the Médoc moor, there are also some beautiful specimens of hardwoods (chestnut trees, birches) and cork oaks (children are always delighted to touch its tender bark and it is also the opportunity to make them guess what it can be used for).
Throughout the commune, the forest has invaded the space, the coniferous trees that make it up are widely represented there.
It must be said that historically in Pian-Médoc, the pine was used to produce gemstone (pine sap), a very important local activity.
Today it is men who respectfully watch over these familiar shadows, so that this essential vegetable lung is preserved forever.
