When at dawn, the mist settles along the port of Issan, it transforms the usual banks into an almost supernatural landscape.
The piers and small fishing boats (there is fishing for eels, lampreys or shads depending on the season) seem to be waiting in the calm waters, a few estuarine birds dive and slip into the wavelets, further on the island of Macau and the ile Margaux blend into the background (they are just opposite the port).
Here, the hours pass more quietly than elsewhere: the eyes are constantly lost in the waters of the Gironde. You can also take advantage of the shaded square to taste some Médoc products straight from the basket.
It is a somewhat magical place, once the barges docked there to load their precious cargoes...
