The Aubarède area extends over approximately 47 hectares, bordered by the Isle. The site is characterized by a mosaic of "natural" environments typical of the West Atlantic with meadows enclosed in a bocage with the particularity of being subject to the floods of the Isle.
This mosaic of environments offers ecological, biological and educational interest with a valuable pool of species.
Space preserved from any urbanization, the Aubarède has a landscape interest, with hedges and meadows, witnesses of past activities. A pond of 1,5 hectares presents a diversified fauna but confronted with two invasive species which disturbs the environment, the coypu and the water primrose.
Formerly an area of crops and pasture for working animals, the Aubarède is still exploited by farmers for fodder. The site offers 1h30 of hiking for nature lovers.
