Dropt Valley

Taking its source near Monpazier in the Dordogne, the Dropt flows into the Garonne at Casseuil and Caudrot. Inhabited since time immemorial, the Dropt valley is a land of history. In the Middle Ages, for three centuries, the Dropt was a political border separating regions that French and Anglo-Gascon troops exchanged many times with swords. This river, with very fertile banks, is dotted with a heritage of exceptional variety and richness.
