Your itinerary

1

The start

From the Bélisaire jetty, join the D106 towards La Vigne. You follow it to a crossroads of tracks.
2

Step 2

There, cross the road towards Truc Vert. If you wish, you can take the track to the right which leads you to the crossroads of l'Herbe where you will not fail to visit the typical oyster farming village.
3

Step 3

Arrived at Truc Vert (Km 8), you can enjoy the pleasures of the ocean beach, one of the liveliest on the coast. Then, turn right, direction Petit Piquey where a cycle lane leads you before taking the direction of Picalouey-Claouey along the road in its own lane. The track moves away from the road to bypass the village.
4

Step 4

You soon come back to the side of the road at Claouey (Km 15).
5

Step 5

You follow it to Arès after crossing the junction point of Eurovéloroute n°1. Follow the indications "departmental cycle track Lège-Biganos".
6

Step 6

You are now on the right-of-way of the old railway line of local interest developed by the General Council. Your route is punctuated by old stations in Arès, Andernos-les-bains (Km 25,5), Taussat, Cassy, Lanton and Audenge.
7

Step 7

A little before Audenge, you will find, on the right, the indication of the Domaine de Certes, a vast natural space owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral managed by the General Council. Without ancient fish ponds have become havens for migratory birds. In season, naturalist guides will help you discover its riches.
8

Step 8

You soon arrive at Biganos (Km 40) where you turn right to follow the road to Arcachon.
9

Step 9

Arrived at Teich, after having circumvented the relay-nature of the delta of Eyre, you move away from the road and enter the borough. Attention: follow the signs, the track using sidewalks, before crossing the railway line (Km 46,5). After one kilometer, at the roundabout, turn right towards Gujan-Mestras along the road. Another kilometer further on, at the foot of the water tower, the track heads off to the right between the houses. Follow the direction "cycle track Le Teich-La-Teste".
10

Step 10

You then follow this indication in urban areas, taking care at roundabouts and road crossings. You arrive on a path that sinks into a wooded park.
11

Step 11

Cross it and turn left towards La-Teste-Bisacrosse (Km 54). You then come out at the edge of the road to Arcachon on the embankment. Turn right and follow the road. Attention: follow the indications to cross the various streets and main roads which follow one another over the next five kilometres.
12

Step 12

You arrive at a roundabout from where the departmental road leads to the Dune du Pilat. You can decide, starting from the right, to join Arcachon, famous seaside resort born in 1857 by the will of the Pereire brothers - shareholders of the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer du Midi - to make it a summer and climatic holiday resort. Don't miss a visit to the Ville d'Hiver, a historic XNUMXth century district made up of a remarkable collection of bourgeois villas nestled in lush greenery.
13

Step 13

You follow the departmental road which leads to the Dune of Pilat on the left to the car park giving access to the famous site (Km 64). The largest dune in Europe with its 109 meters offers you the most beautiful panorama you can dream of over the Bassin d'Arcachon, the ocean, the Banc d'Arguin at the water's edge and the Landes de Gascogne forest at loss of sight. If you wish, by turning left at the site exit roundabout, you can reach Arcachon by crossing the residential districts of Pyla-sur-Mer by a network of cycle lanes. You will pass in front of the magnificent beaches of Moulleau and Pereire. Do not miss to visit the source of Abatilles, the deepest in France, whose source, 472m deep, contains no nitrates thanks to the natural filtering carried out by different layers of sand and clay. During the summer season, the source springs from the fountain located in the heart of the Abatilles kiosk.
