In the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers, this walk will make you discover the town of Rimons and its interesting Saint-Hilaire church in more than one way (unusual orientation, magnificent Romanesque capitals). the Gourande valley and the woods of Sainte-Emilionne and Les Cailloux. Don't miss the lunch stop (on reservation) at the Ferme Auberge Gauvry!

The start
Depart from the car park opposite the Town Hall on the D230 towards Monségur for 800 m

Step 2
Turn right on the small paved road, progress for 250 m

Take a right on the limestone road then straight for 1 km

Turn right on the path to enter the forest

Step 5
On leaving the forest take the first path on the right between the vines then go straight. For those who wish to extend the route it is possible at this level to complete the loop of the Font des Bois close to 200 m. The itinerary is also available from our Tourist Office offices

Turn right on the secondary road to reach the town of Rimons.

At the level of the Ferme Auberge Gauvry continue straight towards the valley before going up towards the village

At the intersection, take the path to the right which goes down to the wash house below the church, then follow it to go up towards it and reach the car park
