Open year round
Ideally located halfway between the Gironde Estuary and the Atlantic coast, Château Saint-Hilaire awaits you in Queyrac, surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see. It was in the 80s that Adrien Uijttewaal left his native Holland to settle in the Médoc. Life sometimes plays tricks: he acquired vineyards and a beautiful XNUMXth century residence adjoining old cellars and formerly built by... a Dutch family.
Before the tasting, a visit to the cellars reveals the mysteries of Médoc winemaking, according to a traditional method, and those of the aging of the wine, stored for a year in one of the 600 stave oak barrels. In summer, you have plenty of time, after your stop at Château Saint-Hilaire, to enjoy the beaches of Montalivet, Soulac or even Lake Carcans-Hourtin.
