Château Le Tuquet, Domaines de la Parrhesia

French, English

On a small road that winds through the Tuquet vineyard 20 km south of Bordeaux, between the Deux Mers highway and the Garonne, stop at Château Le Tuquet, a beautiful 1770th century Chartreuse. Paul Ragon and his daughter Alice de la Haye welcome you there and tell you the history of this residence whose south facade was restored in 1963 by the architect Victor Louis, known in particular for the creation of the Grand-Théâtre de Bordeaux. After belonging to the family of Father Charles de Foucauld then to a large Bordeaux trading house, the estate was acquired in XNUMX by the Ragon family.
Your hosts will show you the honors of their property during a very interesting visit: discover the old cellars and those, more recent, benefiting from modern winemaking techniques (thermoregulation, air conditioning, stainless steel vats).
