Château Chasse-Spleen is a prestigious wine estate in the Bordeaux vineyards, classified in 1932 as an exceptional Cru in the smallest appellation of the Médoc, Moulis-en Médoc. The property covers 130 hectares.
This magical name is probably the result of discussions around 1860, between Rosa Ferrière, the mistress of the place, and her neighbor, Odilon Redon, a renowned symbolist painter. He, in fact, illustrated the Fleurs du Mal by Charles Baudelaire, which we know he made a copyright of.
The Château, its geographical location, its terroir, its vines and thematic gardens constitute the Médoc wine heritage. An area displaying contemporary art and local discovery with literary and poetic accents.
