Branaire-Ducru Castle

The first estate at the entrance to the Saint-Julien terroir coming from Bordeaux, Château Branaire-Ducru extends its 50 hectares of vineyards on the left bank of the Gironde Estuary. Branaire-Ducru bears the name of two of its former owners two centuries apart, Jean-Baptiste Braneyre in the XNUMXth century and Gustave Ducru in the XNUMXth century.
Your visit begins with the vat room and continues in the cellar, which was completely renovated in 1992 when Château Banaire-Ducru was purchased by the Maroteaux family. Under the vaults of this concrete cathedral which watches over the oak barrels, you are already thinking about tasting this Saint-Julien Château Branaire-Ducru which awaits you. During this friendly moment, talk with your hosts about their choice of sustainable viticulture and the reintroduction of ladybirds on the estate.
