Motorhome area of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne

Halfway between Saint-Emilion and Sauternes, the bastide town of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne was founded in 1281 by Edward I, King of England. The town has preserved the orthogonal plan characteristic of bastides, its central square lined with arcades and the remains of medieval fortifications. It is also the capital of the most important wine-growing canton of Entre-deux-Mers. Wines from the AOC appellations Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, Entre-deux-Mers and Crémant de Bordeaux are produced there.
The parking and service area is located near the Roger Lapébie greenway linking Sauveterre to Bordeaux.
